Diet and Cancer
Recent studies show that there is a correlation between diet and cancer. The International Journal of Cancer, May 1, 2005 reports that eating more fruits and vegetables reduces pancreatic cancer risks. The May 2005 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports that the consumption of dairy products may increase prostate cancer risk. The International Journal of Cancer, April 20, 2005, reports "Eating beans or lentils at least twice a week may reduce a woman's risk of developing breast cancer." The study revealed that women who ate these items twice a week had a 24% reduction in the development of breast cancer compared to those who ate them less than once a month. Another medical journal reports that the risk of developing colorectal cancer is increased by eating a diet high in red and processed meats; and decreased by eating a diet high in fiber, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans. (Nutr Hosp. 2005 Jan-Feb; 20(1):18-25)
God's prophet to His remnant church states, "Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator." (MH.296.001) And, "Cancers, tumors, and various other inflammatory diseases are largely caused by meat eating. From the light which God has given me, the prevalence of cancers and tumors is largely due to gross living on dead flesh." (HL.100.007) God's Word states, "To obey is better than sacrifice." (1 Sam. 15:22) So for better health let trust and obey God's instructions of love that He has given us!
